Yamini Reddy



Born on 31 August 1982 at Kotalgaon, Andhra Pradesh; received Masters degree in International Business Management from the Nottingham Trent University and FORE School of Management; trained in Kuchipudi dance under the guidance of her parents Shri & Smt. Raja Radha Reddy; also studied Carnatic Music under Shri Durga Prasad; performed extensively within the country and abroad including dance festivals such as Elephanta Festival in Mumbai, 2004, Savai Gandharv Festival, Pune, ITDC Festival, Lucknow, Taj Festival, Agra, Music Circle & Konark Festival, Orissa, Nishagndhi Festival, Monte Music festival, Goa, Bharatiya Nritya Samaroh in Madhya Pradesh, Pt. Ravi Shankar’s RIMPA Festival, Vaangmayee and Ananya Festival, Delhi; also performed in Teen Murty Bhavan on the occasion of Late Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru’s Birth Anniversary at 2004, Sadlers Wells in London and Birmingham, International Triennial Women’s Conference, 2007 and has toured USA, Europe and Brazil; received several awards and honours including the Yuva Ratna from Youth Vocational Excellence award by district Rotract, Young Achievers Award by FICCI and Devadasi National Award for Kuchipudi Dance, Orissa. Yamini receives the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Purskar for Kuchipudi Dance.
