Peravali Jaya Bhaskar



Born on 28th March 1973 in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh; received training under Shri Yella Venkateshwara Rao; Post graduate in English literature; has distinguished himself as a soloist and has accompanied veterans of Carnatic music; received the Junior Fellowship from the Department of Culture, Government of India; an ‘A’ grade artist of All India Radio; member of the National Orchestra and performed in many Akashvani Sangteet Sammelans and National programmes of Music of AIR and Doordarshan; appointed as staff artist in A.I.R; has given a number of lecture demonstrations in reputed institutions including the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, IRCEN, CCRT, etc; an empanelled artiste of ICCR; has received many awards from prestigious institutions including the Charu Bala Mohan Trust Award, T.T. Rangaswamy Memorial Award and Vellore Gopalachari Award by Music Academy, Chennai.
Jaya Bhaskar receives the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar for Carnatic instrumental music.
