Born on 31st May 1978 in Solapur, Maharashtra; received training
of Sundri under his grandfather Shri Sidhram Jadhav and his
father Shri Chidanand Jadhav; has established himself as a
leading performer of this rare wind instrument; performed in
major festivals within the country including the Tansen Samaroh, Gwalior, Sawai Gadharv
Sangeet Mahotsav, Pune, Swarn Sangeet Pratibha of Sangeet Natak Akademi, Delhi, Alladiya
Khan Sangeet Samaroha, Mumbai, and Dharwad Ustav, Hubli; received Junior Fellowship
from the Department of Culture, Government of India and scholarships from the Centre for
Culture Resources and Training, New Delhi, the Guru-Shishya Paramara scholarship from
West Zone Cultural Centre, and scholarship for rare instrument Sundri from Ustad Allauddin
Khan Sangeet Academy, Bhopal; received various honours including the Surmani Award from
Sur Singar Samsad, Mumbai, Akashvani Award from All India Radio and Yuva Kalakar from
SZCC, Nagpur; has organized seminar on Sundri at Sholapur with assistance of Department
of Culture, Government of India, New Delhi; empanelled artiste of ICCR; released an audio of
Sundri presenting ragas and Karnataka Kajris.
