Rajnish Mishra & Ritesh Mishra

Born on 15 February and 6 June 1976 respectively, Rajnish Mishra and Ritesh Mishra belong to a traditional music family of Benaras Gharana. They received their initial training in music from their grandfather Hanuman Prasad Mishra, and Gopal Mishra. Later, they honed their skills under Rajan Mishra (father) and Sajan Mishra (uncle) of Benaras Gharana.
They are ‘A’ grade artist with All India Radio and Doordarshan and have performed widely in many prestigious concerts in India and abroad. These include the Tansen Samaroh, Gwalior; Saptak Music Festival, Ahmedabad; UDCO Festival, Lucknow; Royal Albert Hall, London; Symphony Hall, Birmingham; and Lincoln Centre, New York. They have also successfully conducted lecture-demonstrations and workshops at various academic institutions, both national and international.
Rajnish and Ritesh Mishra have been honoured by many prestigious organizations, like the Yuva Ratna Award by Rotract Organization, and Certificate of Honour by Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan, USA. They have many recordings to their credit including the Grammy Award, nominated album, Rise.
