Manjusha Sandeep Patil



Shrimati Manjusha Sandeep Patil was born on 2 November 1971 at Sangli, Maharashtra. She received her initial training in music from Shri Chintubua Mhaiskar and later learnt from Shri D.V. Kanebua, Shri Narendra Kanekar and Shri Vikas Kashalkar. At present, she is receiving further training under Shri Ulhas Kashalkar. Manjusha Patil has also studied rare bandishes and the different forms of music under Dr. Ashok D. Ranade. She is an ‘A’ grade artist of All India Radio and Doordarshan and also an empanelled artist of I.C.C.R. Recipient of the Mani Mann Fellowship given by the Sanskriti Foundation, Delhi, Manjusha has performed widely in India and abroad in festivals such as the Tansen Samaroh, Gwalior; Sawai Gandharva Mahotsav, Pune and Kundgole; and the Akashwani Sangeet Sammelan.
Manjusha is adept both in semi-classical music and Natya Sangeet. She has received many awards and titles including the Pt. Jasraj Gaurav Puraskar in 1998, and the Pt. Manik Varma Puraskar in 2005.
Shrimati Manjusha Sandeep Patil is awarded the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar of Sangeet Natak Akademi for the year 2010 for her talent in the field of Hindustani Vocal Music.
