Geetanjali Sharma

Born on 13 September 1984 in Mathura city of Uttar Pradesh, Shrimati Geetanjali Sharma received training in Brij folk dance from Sarvbom Sanskrit Sansthan.
Among the leading Mayur Ras and Brij Holi dancers of her generation, Shrimati Geetanjali Sharma has evolved an individual style in her presentation and has gained wide popularity. She has received critical acclaim for her performance in the role of Radha in Mayur Ras and Brij Holi. She has performed with many legendary personalities such as Hema Malini and Shiv Kumar Sharma. Shrimati Sharma has performed widely in the country and abroad. She is also the recipient of a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
For her service to Brij folk dance, Shrimati Geetanjali Sharma has received the Nazneen-e-Taj and Miss Uttar Pradesh Talent Award in 2003, and the National Youth Award (2010) conferred by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Government of India.
Shrimati Geetanjali Sharma receives the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar for the year 2011 for her notable talent in the field of Brij folk dance of Uttar Pradesh.
