Manda Anantha Krishna

Shri Manda Anantha Krishna was born on 28 May 1975 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. He received his training in Carnatic Instrumental music – flute, from Shri Manda Balarama Sarma and later received advanced training from Shri N. Ramani. A graded artist of All India Radio, he has performed widely in several prominent sabhas of India and abroad, such as the Madras Telugu Academy, Madras; Udipi temple, Udipi; Pune Sangeet Sabha, Pune; South Central Zone Cultural Centre, Nagpur; Shanmukhananda Sabha, Mumbai; and at the Kanchi Kamakshi temple, Kanchipuram. Presently Shri Krishna is working as a Lecturer in Sri Venkateswara Music and Dance College, Tirupati since October 2005.
Shri Krishna has been duly awarded for his talent by various prestigious organizations including the first prize in the competition organized by the Kalasagaram, Secunderabad in 1993. He has received many titles including the title of Asthana Vidwan conferred by the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham (2011), and the Pragyana Puraskar given by the Andhra Association (2012). He has many recordings to his credit.
Shri Manda Anantha Krishna is awarded the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar of Sangeet Natak Akademi for the year 2011 for his notable talent in the field of Carnatic instrumental music.
