Shri Shijith Nambiar and Shrimati Parvathy Menon were born on
14th May 1981 at Kunhimangalam, Kerala and 12th July 1984 in
Kuwait, respectively. They both received their training in
Bharatanatyam at the Kalakshetra Foundation, Chennai and
completed their Post-Graduate Diploma from there.
They have performed extensively at several prestigious dance
festivals within the country and abroad. The duo has also
conducted lecture demonstrations and workshops across the
world.
They founded Samradhya in 2012, an institution which imparts
training in the traditional art forms of India. Samradhya identifies
itself by the uniqueness in defining, imparting and experiencing
the heritage arts of India, especially Bharatanatyam.
They have received various honours and awards, including the
Yuva Kala Bharat conferred by Bharati Kalachar.
Shri Shijith Nambiar and Shrimati Parvathy Menon are jointly
awarded the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar 2015 for their
notable talent in the field of Bharatanatyam dance.
