Born on 7 July 1975 at Nangur, Tehsil Jagdalpur, District
Bastar, Chhattisgarh, Shri Shrinath Nag has
Studied Traditional Mohri Vadan and Instrument Making
(Mahara Community Music Tradition) under the guidance of
Shri Lakhmu Nag.
Shri Shrinath Nag has made the traditional and folk instruments of Chhattisgarh for many years. His instruments have been used and appreciated by the folk singers of the region in their performances at many prestigious venues.
Shri Shrinath Nag is a member of Bastar Band a Centre for Cultural Heritage, where he shares his knowledge of traditional instrument making with young learners.
Shri Shrinath Nag is awarded the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar of Sangeet Natak Akademi for 2013-2014 for his notable talent in the field of Instrument Making of Chhattisgarh.
