Born on 2 November 1983 in Cuttack, Odisha, Shrimati Rajashri Praharaj
has received her training in Odissi dance under Shri Ratikant Mohapatra
and Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra.
Shrimati Rajashri Praharaj has performed widely in India and abroad as a soloist and in the group of Srjan including the Nritya Pratibha and Nritya Sanrachna organized by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, Konark Dance Festival, Nalanda Nrityotsava, Samsmaranam Festival, Naman Festival, and Sankat Mochan Music and Dance Festival. She has also performed lead roles in the dance-dramas choreographed by her guru. She has travelled to perform at the Nirvana Pushpagiri Festival, Bangkok, Thailand 2005; Deepavali Festival, New York, USA 2007; India Festival, Taiwan 2010 and 2011; and Temple of Fine Arts, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 2010 and 2011.
Shrimati Rajashri Praharaj has received many awards and honours including the Sringaramani from Sur Sringar Samsad, Mumbai, Nalanda Nritya Nipuna from Nalanda Dance Research Centre, and National Nritya Mani Award from Utkal Yuva Sanskrutik Sangh, Cuttack in 2010. Presently, She is imparting training in Odissi dance at Srjan.
Shrimati Rajashri Praharaj is awarded the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar of Sangeet Natak Akademi for 2013-2014 for her notable talent in the field of Odissi dance.
