Srinibas Satapathy



Shri Srinibas Satapathy was born on 15 July 1975 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. He received his training in flute under the tutelage of Shri Mohini Mohan Pattanaik, an eminent guru, and obtained a master’s degree in flute from the Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Bhubaneswar in 1998.
Shri Satapathy received National Scholarship from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, from 1995 to 1998, and got the first position in the All India State Bank Competition consecutively for three years. A graded artist of All India Radio, he has performed widely in various music festivals in India including Sangeet Pratibha, Patna, organized by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi; and Bhubaneswar Music Circle, Orissa. He has also performed in Belgium, Holland, Spain, and USA. He has accompanied eminent dancers such as Shrimati Sonal Mansingh, Shrimati Madhavi Mudgal, Shrimati Sujata Mohapatra, Shrimati Aruna Mohanty, and Shrimati Ranjana Gauhar on the flute.
Shri Srinibas Satapathy is awarded the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar of Sangeet Natak Akademi for the year 2011 for his notable talent in the field of Hindustani instrumental music.
