Born on 15 February 1920 in Parbhani in Maharashtra, Shri Radha Krishna Kadam is
a practitioner of the traditional Gondhal theatre of Maharashtra.
He has presented Gondhal extensively in Maharashtra including towns and cities such as Pandharpur, Nagpur, Aurangabad, and Mumbai. Besides, he has performed in Andhra Pradesh, and also in a festival in France. He has participated in workshops on the Gondhal theatre in various parts of Maharashtra.
For his lifelong service to the performing arts, Shri Kadam has been honoured by several institutions in Maharashtra. He is a recipient of the Maharashtra Sanskruti Lok Kala Award (2009), and the Yashwant Kala Upasak Award. He has been felicitated at the 71st Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan, the 80th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan, and the Vishwa Marathi Parishad.
Shri Radha Krishna Kadam receives the Sangeet Natak Akademi Tagore Award for his contribution to the Gondhal theatre of Maharashtra.
