Shrimati Choiti Ghosh was born on 28 March, 1980. She has obtained
Masters Degree in English Literature from Delhi University. She is an Object
Theatre practitioner, actor and puppeteer. She has received training in
contemporary puppetry from Sushree Anurupa Roy of Katkatha Puppet Arts
Trust, Delhi and is now an active member of the group. She has done a
month long course in object Theatre from Institut International de la
Marionnette in France under Agnes Limbos. She has also received training in
Hindustani music for five years from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya , New Delhi.
Shrimati Ghosh has received Research-In–Residence grant from Deutsches Forum fur Figuren Theatre und Puppen Spiel Kunst, Germany on 'Object in the Theatre' and from Institut International de la Marionette, Charleville Mezieres, France on 'Objects & Human Body in Theatre'.
Shrimati Choiti Ghosh's theatre company Tram Theatre has produced remarkable object theatre performances including Nostos, Alice in Wonderland, Bird's Eye View, Outer Dilli, and a Museum of Ordinary Objects. She has also worked in a movie Amu
