दानिश इक़बाल



Born on 1 January 1978 in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, Shri Danish Iqbal has acted in several plays. A graduate from Allahabad University, Danish obtained his Post Graduate Diploma from the National School of Drama in 2002, and is currently working for his PhD degree. He also got an M.A. in Classical Acting from the Central School of Speech and Drama, London in 2005. He has been a visiting faculty at the National School of Drama, and has conducted many workshops on acting, movement, voice, and speech. He began his career in theatre working with Shri Sachin Tewari in Danga. Danish Iqbal has been associated with theatre professionally since 1994. He had acted in plays such as Sakharam Binder, and Sooni Baisakhi while in Allahabad. In 1997, he joined as an actor in the Shri Ram Centre Repertory, Delhi. He is an approved artist of All India Radio’s Drama section, and has been empanelled with the FM Gold Channel of All India Radio since 2003. He has received the Charles Wallace India Trust award of the British Council in 2004.
Shri Danish Iqbal is awarded the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar of Sangeet Natak Akademi for the year 2010 for his talent in the field of theatre as an Actor.
